D'YANI inks distribution deal with VPAL Music
For Immediate Release: September 8th, 2015
D'Yani has been having the month of his life, the young power vocalist released his debut single 'Sad Story' produced by Kev Ster Records last month and already he has managed to secure a premier distribution deal with VPAL Music, the youth arm of VP Records. D' Yani and producer Kevy B, were elated as they departed the local offices of VP last week, alongside manager Shantell 'Shanz' Hill of DatzMyDJ Entertainment Development Agency. They were called in to formalize the agreement after signing the required contract; they were met with added support from sound systems and respective radio DJs, who have been supporting the single.
The distribution deal came fresh after the single's soft release. The single has already opened doors for the young vocalist, whereby he received the opportunity to open the live concert last weekend for Christopher Martin & Frenz It's A Big Deal Decade in music celebrations and charity event at WaterMount Primary. “Honestly, I was not expecting the reception I received, it was my very first time performing in St. Catherine and Nikki Z (the event host) gave me such a grand introduction that I came out wanting to just sing for them even more. The roar, which followed the first song ‘Give Away My Love’, gave me the perfect opportunity to share 'Sad Story.” He considers himself very lucky to share the stage with all those talented vocalists, and values getting the opportunity to observe them owning the craft they all love so much.
D'Yani, a Wolmers Boys and Maritime graduate, aspires that his music will gain legs across the world, eventually opening a window or door for his follow-up projects. Already media houses have expressed an interest in speaking with me, so I am looking forward to doing those interviews this week. My manager, Shanz, has been facilitating artist development for me, she wants to ensure that I not only understand the craft, the process but the business aspect of the music. She shares articles and information, she studied abroad and as such we have a development plan that we are working with."
D'Yani next appearance will be at Live Lounge series at Spades Lounge on October 15, 2015, hosted by VPAL. The Live Lounge series will feature an intimate setting where each week a different vocalist will have the opportunity to engage fans with new music. I am looking forward to singing for everyone and seeing my current supporters, I welcome the opportunity to reach new ears and eyes with my music as well, with the hope that they appreciate my work.
